The largest e-commerce forum in the region of the Baltics and СEE is held by Rietumu Bank.
The eCom21 conference is being held in the capital of Latvia for the third year in succession and traditionally arouses broad international interest and response amongst professional circles. Participants of the forum hail from the Baltic region, Europe, the CIS, USA, Central Asia, the Far East, and other regions of the world.
Each eCom21 has a specific thematic focus. The subject of the current forum is Money 2.0: speeches, presentations, and discussions will be devoted to electronic money, for which popularity in e-commerce is rapidly increasing.
Amongst the speakers are large players of global and regional markets, such as MasterCard and Visa, ECommPay, BitCoin, ChinaUnionPay, Yandex.Money, Money.Mail.ru, QIWI, Payonline and others.
The work programme of the forum addresses, amongst other things, such aspects as pegging of e-currencies to traditional fiat currencies, compatibility of virtual and real means of payment, prospects for using paid services in social networks, tendencies in state regulation, technological aspects, reliability and safety of e-money, and other topical issues.
Opening this conference, the Head of the eCom21 Organising Committee, First Vice-president of Rietumu Bank Ruslan Stecyuk particularly noted, “We have chosen one of the most dynamic and avant-garde trends of industry development as a subject of the forum. This year about 450 guests from over 30 countries will take part in the eCom21 conference: e-commerce entrepreneurs and professionals, representatives of regulators from a number of EU countries, lawyers, consultants, IT professionals, auditors, top managers, and European and Russian companies engaged in servicing online payments.
