Rietumu Banka now offers its clients the opportunity to use Apple Pay – a fast, secure and modern payment method.
This step confirms Rietumu Banka’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience by providing modern and convenient digital solutions.
With Apple Pay, payments can be made in-store, in mobile applications and online, without using a physical payment card.
Payments are made using Apple devices – iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac – and are more secure than using a physical card. Transactions are authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode, and the card number is not shared with the merchant. In addition, when making purchases online, there is no need to create a user account or fill in lengthy application forms.

Apple Pay not only allows customers to make payments quickly and conveniently – it also aligns with our long-term strategy to offer modern digital capabilities that are secure, convenient and time-saving,” says Jānis Plikšs, Head of Customer Service Department at Rietumu Banka.
To add any of the Rietumu Banka’s credit cards to Apple Pay, open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap “+” and follow the instructions. Once the card has been added, Apple Pay becomes immediately available on all compatible Apple devices, and customers can make payments wherever such payments are accepted.
